Elizabeth Jane Howard’s niece, the novelist Louisa Young will write three more instalments, picking up the saga in Christmas 1962 with The Golden Hours - which is a very suitable Cazalettish title. They’ll be published by mantlepressbooks - the imprint of panmacmillan which publishes Howard’s original Chronicles.
We do have to wait until next September but these are such glad tidings, I’m taking it as an early Christmas present.
(Yes, I know I’m missing All Change. I cannot think where it has got to, but shall now have to chase down a replacement in this particular set - which is from my teen years so, ahem, a small while ago.)
