Albaray is delighted to join as a signatory brand for Pledge to Repair, a movement born out of SOJO founder Josephine Philips' frustrations with the lack of legislation in the UK fashion industry.
Reflecting SOJO’s values of fighting against our ‘make-use-waste’ culture, the Pledge To Repair initiative aims to motivate brands to promote and commit to extending the lifecycle of the clothes they produce through repair and long-term care.
Albaray join Pledge to Repair as part of coalition of brands that are also committed to reducing textile waste through repairing clothing. We believe together we can make a legislative change and shape a more considered future for the fashion industry.

What is the Pledge to Repair iniative?
Pledge To Repair aims to motivate brands to promote and commit to extending the life cycle of the clothes they produce through repair and long-term care.
The hope is that the Pledge will help increase the number of brands committed to offering a repair service to their customers and then the strength of the coalition will be used in lobbying for legislative change here in the UK around: EPR, Right-to-Repair and removing VAT from repair services.
How to become a signatory brand?
To become a signatory brand, a UK-wide repair service must be available to their customers. At Albaray, we offer a Tailoring and Repairs service on all our items.
